Ultrasonic cavitation is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that is used to target unwanted fat deposits under the skin. There is zero downtime and is a safer alternative to traditional liposuction with a fraction of the cost. The ultrasound field creates bubbles in the liquid that surround the fat cells, which gradually grow, and implode. As the membranes of fat cells do not have the structural capacity to withstand the vibrations, the effect of cavitation easily breaks them while sparing the vascular, nervous and muscular tissue.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Ultrasound technology is used to break down fat cells. Ultrasound waves penetrate deep into the skin causing a disturbance using vibrations to break apart the fat cells from the dermal layers of the skin. Because ultrasonic cavitation causes an emulsification of the fat, releasing the triglyceride fluid it is easily eliminated through the urine and the lymphatic system. Although most people have immediate results the process of fat elimination takes place over a course of three to four days.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Following consultation, you will be asked to undress to your undergarments and comfortably lay on a table. Using a handheld device, which will be moved slowly over the treatment area, you may feel a warm sensation. Due to using ultrasound, a buzzing will be heard. Treatment typically takes 20-40 minutes. Treatment has zero downtime and you can resume normal activity right away. Results are immediate and permanent and typically you will need between 6-12 sessions depending on the amount of inches and contouring needed.
